The Off-Broadway performance group Blue Man Group will perform at the Super Bowl XLV Game Day Fan Plaza at Dallas' Cowboys Stadium this Sunday, February 6, prior to kick-off. It will be the group's first Super Bowl appearance.

The Blue Man character was created by Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink, who together staged a series of "happenings" in New York City in the late 1980's followed by appearances in various performance spaces in the East Village before opening the full Off-Broadway production at the Astor Place Theatre to tremendous critical and popular acclaim. Blue Man Group has grown from their origin on the streets of New York City to include theatrical productions in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Orlando, and Tokyo .

The East Village's Astor Place Theatre has been the Off-Broadway home of Blue Man Group since 1991. Critically acclaimed, this show creates an experience that defies categorization. Blue Man Group is best known for their theatrical performances that feature three bald and blue characters who take the audience on a multi-media journey that is at once funny, intelligent, and visually stunning. Blue Man Group is accompanied by a live band whose haunting tribal rhythms help drive the show to its unforgettable climax!
