JULY 22-27

Vincent D'Onofrio presents
THE GEORGE GERKIE COWBOY EXPERIENCE WITH SPECIAL GUEST SAM BISBEE
A benefit for The Heroes Health Project
Thursday, July 22 at 7:00 PM
The Heroes Health Project is an extraordinary foundation set up to provide unique help through a successful detoxification program to uniformed personnel who suffer as a result of toxic exposure while in the line of duty. Thousands of police officers and firefighters exposed to toxic methamphetamine labs and soldiers exposed to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering.  It is our intent to help those who have put their lives on the line for their community and country and who have put the welfare of others before their own. They were the heroes we looked to whenever help was needed and who, in providing that help, lost their own health and quality of life.  It is time to give back. We owe them. Please join us in this worthwhile endeavor by donating to the cause. $40 / $100 VIP ticket including preferred seating and meet & greet

LADY RIZO: unescorted
Fridays, July 23 & August 20 at 9:30 PM
"The brazen blonde belts out classics and pop tunes atop a piano"  -- Women's Wear Daily
"Caburlesque artist Lady Rizo has, thankfully, upped the ante... throwing in enough hyperfemininity to blow your heart and go down on your mind." - Sharyn Jackson, Village Voice
"Lady Rizo and The Assettes brought down the house."- Men's Vogue
“Rizo's mischievous grin and banter hold the audience captive.”  - NY Press
"adorably louche"-- Time Out
"Lady Rizo bring(s) out the Broadway in this chart-topper" --Rolling Stone
The incomparable "cabaret star" (NY Magazine) Lady Rizo is back for an unchaperoned evening of song and decadence.  You may have seen her here at Joe's Pub with her "glam bottom baring dance troupe the Assettes " (Village Voice), celebrating the billboard top ten in the monthly series Our Hit Parade, or midtown at the gothic Night Hotel co-hosting the weekly transnational lounge Foreign Affairs. But here is your chance to have her all to yourself.   Her seamless mix of bawdy humor and elegance has been likened to Mae West but it’s her vocal chops that have garnered recent attention: collaborating with both Yo-Yo Ma & Moby on albums this year, singing selections of the American Songbook in front of the internationally acclaimed 36 -piece orchestra The Knights, and at MOMA for a sold out cabaret for the Kirchner Exhibit.
Let her lashes beguile you as she interprets an irresistible mix of popular songs from all eras backed by some of the finest musicians in New York City.  Even though she is venturing out solo, if you know Lady Rizo you won't be surprised if a couple special guests pop up. $15 in advance / $20 at the door

de'ADRE AZIZA
Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 PM
You are invited to attend the solo singing debut of Ms. de'Adre aziza. Ms. aziza, an accomplished Broadway actress who starred in the critically acclaimed musical Passing Strange, is also very well received in industry circles as a premiere songstress, having shared the stage with such notable talents as Roy Ayers, Jessye Norman, and Jennifer Holliday. Fresh off the heels of a stunning NYC acting debut, which included Tony & Audelco Award nominations, an Obie Award, Theater World Award, and two Spike Lee films, Ms. aziza is back on the scene reuniting with her first love, music. With a collection of original compositions with a jazz infused twist, Ms. aziza sets out to captivate you with her vocal stylings and originality, performing a collection of original songs written by herself, songwriters Stew, Nick Rolfe & Louis Ressy, and musical theatre composers Michael Friedman and Nick Blaemire. Her fresh perspective and innovative collaging of these time tested musical styles is sure to delight. So we invite you to join us, sit back, relax, and enjoy the new face of Broadway meets jazz, de'Adre aziza.  $25

SPENCER DAY
Mondays, July 12, 19 & 26 & at 7:30 PM
“Put him in the company of Rufus Wainwright, Nellie McKay and other young singer- songwriters who have open hearts and something new to say." –  TimeOut New York
Vocalist-songwriter-pianist Spencer Day is an artistic vagabond, a modern-day musical nomad.  Born in Utah, raised in rural Arizona, currently living in Los Angeles with extended residencies in New York and San Francisco, Day has called many places home. Along the way, he has wandered amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music, developing an artistic sensibility that borrows from numerous sources: jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, folk, traditional pop and contemporary pop are just the tip of the iceberg. Day uses intuition and improvisation as his primary tools to craft a sound that is traditional and familiar, yet fresh and innovative at the same time, creating a blend too subtle to parse into neatly defined categories. Vagabond, his new release and his first on Concord Jazz, cements his reputation as a balladeer for the new century whose creative voice is distilled from the best elements of the previous one. $15 in advance/ $20 at the door
