STRITCH, SELDES, ROBERTS AND AIELLO IN RECIPE FOR LIFE SERIES OFF-BROADWAY
Tony Award winners Elaine Stritch and Marian Seldes are set to star in short works by Tennessee Williams and A.R. Gurney at the Acorn Theatre in July.
Recipe for Life is a collection of plays featuring veteran Broadway performers. Proceeds benefit the Brozman Foundation, which is dedicated to ovarian cancer prevention and education.
The performance schedule is as follows:
July 12: A.R. Gurney's A Cheever Evening, starring Tony Roberts, Seldes and Michael Riedel.
July 13: Tennessee Williams' The Pretty Trap, the precursor to The Glass Menagerie, starring Elaine Stritch. Christopher Hart will stage the play, as well as Interior Panic (which later became A Streetcar Named Desire) that will also be staged in the same evening.
July 15-18: Susan Charlotte's The Shoemaker. Antony Marsellis will direct Danny Aiello and Carolyn McCormick.
