SYNOPSIS - ABOUT THE SHOW

A Jew Grows in Brooklyn is the story of a baby boomer, the son of survivors who grew up in 1960's Brooklyn and wanted nothing more than to be American. Along the way, Ehrenreich, backed by a trio of musician/singers, performs the popular music of both his and his parent's generations, and demonstrates, from adolescence in Brooklyn, to the classic Catskills, how survivors learn to laugh again. With the help of a visual multi-media set, he weaves philosophy into personal history as he recreates his journey from denial to acceptance to rebirth.
